MACNY Workforce Training Project......Training Funds Available.
We are pleased to announce that the MACNY Workforce Training Project has been approved, and we will now begin the process of distributing training funds to our members. MACNY was awarded over $200,000 through a federal earmark secured by former Congressman Jim Walsh. We are grateful for former Congressman Walsh’s support and dedication to manufacturing in Upstate New York. This project will provide MACNY manufacturing members with an opportunity to train employees and implement world-class manufacturing initiatives.
All interested manufacturing members must submit a completed and signed application to be eligible to receive funding for MACNY On-Site training, Open Enrollment training or Seminars in the near-future. Applications will be reviewed by MACNY to determine distribution of funds. Applications will be accepted on an on-going basis until the funding stream is exhausted. Approved applicants will receive funds to help subsidize the costs of providing training to employees.
Priority will be given to those manufacturers that are working on training initiatives focused on leadership, lean manufacturing, world-class quality and sustainability. If you have any questions, please contact Steve Maloney or Kris Alexich at 315-474-4201 opt. 5. We look forward to working with you on your training initiatives.
