In our reviews of these programs, the savings from participation far exceed the dues of the members that participate. We hope that we can provide this for your company as well.
The following are detailed descriptions of our programs - for Electricity, Natural Gas, Office Supplies, Safety Supplies, Shop Supplies, Equipment Maintenance and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
MACNY Electricity Consortium
MACNY has managed an electricity aggregation currently comprised of as many as 50 companies for the last four years. The opportunity is to take advantage of rates that are normally only available to the largest electricity consumers. We are currently working with Direct Energy to obtain good pricing for our members. We offer a variety of products including fixed rate and variable rate agreements to allow our members to manage energy costs in accordance with their risk and budgetary goals.
We continue to add companies to this consortium during the year, allowing additional companies to take advantage of the same benefits as current participants. There is no cost to participate in this aggregation. If you would like to request a quote, please complete this form.
MACNY Natural Gas Consortium
MACNY is pleased to announce the third successful year of our Natural Gas Consortium. After a careful review and competitive bid process, MACNY selected National Fuel Resources to be the supplier for the consortium. National Fuel offered strong support for the consortium principle and the lowest prices.
National Fuel Resources, Inc. (NFR) markets natural gas to thousands of industrial, commercial, public authority and residential customers throughout New York and western Pennsylvania, offering competitively priced energy and energy management services to its customers. NFR is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Company, a $3.7 billion diversified energy corporation that has been in business for over 100 years. NFR itself has been in business since the beginnings of deregulation. NFR has grown to become one of the largest regional marketing companies in New York State, supported by industrial and commercial groups, state and local governments, schools and universities. NFR strengths include competitive pricing, and reliability; key criteria for choosing an energy supplier. They have a diverse network of suppliers, as well as extensive experience in pipeline and storage management. NFR offers a wide array of pricing and hedging options tailored to meet the individual needs of each business. Please complete this form if you would like to learn more about participating in the MACNY Natural Gas program; or contact Jim Lalley from National Fuel Resources to receive a proposal and pricing for your specific accounts ( jlalley@nfrinc.com, 716.630.6728). And please contact John Lawyer at MACNY (315.474.4201 X17) to ask about the program and how it works. The program allows you to receive benefit regardless of when you join the consortium.
MACNY Office Supply Consortium
MACNY is pleased to announce the launch of a new and improved Office Supply Consortium. We have made several improvements to the program to make savings broadly available to our members. The most significant change is that we have selected a new provider, Hummel’s Office Plus. This respected regional supplier provided lower prices for an expanded market basket and is known for providing good service.
Another notable change is that we have eliminated the fee for participating in this opportunity. This consortium is now free for all MACNY members.
There is an extensive market basket on which you will receive deep discounts. You will also receive large company discounts on other catalog items. That is it. As a member of MACNY, you just pay a lower price.
We hope that you will find the enhanced program to be useful for your business. To sign up for this consortium, please complete the interest form on our web site. To learn about pricing and about doing business with Hummels, please call Tim Hall at 315.432.9000 (tim@hummelsop.com)

MACNY Equipment Maintenance Consortium
MACNY is pleased to announce its new Equipment Maintenance Consortium. This is an opportunity for companies to save 10-20% on electronic equipment maintenance agreements.
Through the program, you replace your current maintenance agreements with a risk management/insurance product from our consortium providers. The premiums for this product will be lower than your current costs. When your equipment needs either repair or preventative maintenance, you call your local vendor to service the equipment on your schedule, but the bill is paid for by our provider. You save the administrative time and costs of billing and maintaining contracts.
This program may be particularly helpful to a company that has maintenance contracts on several machines. For example, do you have a maintenance contract on a fax machine, a computer server, and a time clock? Or do you have maintenance agreements on a photo copy machine, a printer,
and a card access system for your store room? Or perhaps you have medical equipment like an
ultrasound, laboratory or radiological equipment. The program may be helpful for replacing these agreements with the potential for significant savings.
