Lean - Six Sigma & Structured Problem Solving Green Belt Classroom
Program Overview: The in-depth sixty-four hour workshop combines a comprehensive classroom presentation with practical application through project exercises. In this workshop, we introduce the basic concepts of Lean Six Sigma and demonstrate the tools and methodology necessary to successfully apply them within the DMAIC process improvement framework. Participants will apply the learned skills to complete a project focused on their business while participating in the classroom experience.
Topics Covered: • Yellow Belt course review • Process Mapping • Data Collection Planning & Measurement System Analysis • Process Capability • Graphical Analysis • Hypothesis testing
Results: Participants will gain an understanding of and experience applying tools within the DMAIC framework. The Green Belt will be able to support Black Belt projects and lead most continuous improvement projects.

Facilitator: Deb Forbey A certified Master Black Belt with over 10 years of experience assisting companies with Lean Six Sigma implementations. She was responsible for deployment, management and financial performance of Six Sigma and Lean programs for multiple companies on the east coast. Deb has been a Lean Six Sigma consultant within a diverse cross section of industries over the past 4 years including Manufacturing, Energy Management, Healthcare & Pharmaceutical, Financial, and Service industries. As a Deployment Director and Master Black Belt, Deb has trained over 400 Black Belts, Green Belts and Master Black Belts. In addition to training, Deb has supplied direction in the launch of Lean Six Sigma programs including education of management and staff, structure of implementation, selection of candidates, identification of projects, and determination of program metrics. Activities in these multiple corporate deployments include: business process assessment, infrastructure design, training delivery, coaching and project identification/execution. Deb has also supported Lean Six Sigma deployments as a team lead, coach, deployment strategy analyst, and performed curriculum development and customization. Deb has been with TDO since January 2008. Deb holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI.
