In today’s fast paced business environment there seems to be no limit to the ingenuity, and sophistication of cyber threats facing companies.  Join Chris Kimpland founder of Syracuse AEC Cyber Security Council, and Tyler Ward, Senior Technology Consultant for IV4 as they demonstrate how to layer securities to withstand the barrage of cyber threats we all face.  During this presentation, we will explore the necessity, strategies, and implementation of a multi-layered cyber security defense.  As threats are coming in on multiple fronts, is your defense plan dynamic enough to withstand the barrage? If not, come and learn how to layer your security in a way that promotes flexibility, and strength against multi-staged attacks.

Chris Kimpland

Chris Kimpland is the IT Administrator for QPK Design and Stopen Engineering, and Founder of the Syracuse AEC Cyber Security Council.  Previously he worked for Cyberdefender™ as a Senior Technician Supervisor and has studied Networking at Onondaga Community College.  With over ten years in the IT industry he has performed in multiple capacity’s, but his passion is and always has been cyber security.  He has spoken at multiple community events regarding the technology industry, and has a strong sense of community derived from his time in the military.
Tyler Ward

Tyler Ward is a Senior Technology Consultant for IV4, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Security from American Military University as well as certifications to include CISSP, MCSE, among multiple others. Tyler is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and has almost 10 years of technical experience in both the public and private sectors. He has filled numerous cyber-security related positions in multiple states within the U.S. and has spent time in East Africa and Afghanistan protecting IT infrastructure for the department of defense and other government agencies.
