SUMMARY:Sweet Science Series: Tour of Baxter (Formerly Welch Allyn and Hillrom)
DESCRIPTION:Welch Allyn was founded in 1915 in Auburn\, New York by Dr. Francis Welch and inventor William Noah Allyn. The two formed a partnership and developed the first hand-held\, direct-illuminating ophthalmoscope. The company moved to Skaneateles Falls in 1953\, where it is still headquartered today\, and where they manufacture medical devices and patient monitoring systems. The company was family-owned until it was acquired in 2015 by Hillrom\, which was purchased by Baxter International in 2021. \n\nNo pictures or video taken during the tour. Everyone must wear completely closed shoes\, no open toes or heels; no high heels.\n\nLocation: 4341 State St\, Skaneateles Falls\, NY 13153
