Google Glass for the Enterprise, Who Knew?

It’s common knowledge that Google Glass despite its highly publicized launch in 2012 was a major failure as a consumer product but surprisingly rather than being buried for dead in the junkyard of flopped products it has found itself new life and is alive and well now rebranded as Glass for the Enterprise. The new version was redesigned not for the consumer market but rather for manufacturing and machinery operators where it has helped improve productivity in some areas by as much as 100%.

This presentation, presented by Bahram Attaie, Assistant Professor of Practice, School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, focuses on Glass’s use cases in Manufacturing, Field Service, Logistics, HealthCare, Remote Support and Public Safety where as a wearable virtual/augmented reality device it can drastically help workers productivity at both large and small businesses.
