Governor Kathy Hochul announced today that NY Creates (the New York Center for Research, Economic Advancement, Technology, Engineering, and Science) and Micron have begun a strategic workforce development partnership aimed at further building a regional talent pipeline of skilled technicians to support Micron’s planned expansion in domestic memory manufacturing at its new megafab being constructed in Clay, New York.

Company News: Micron Executive One of 6 New MOST Board of Directors

Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) elected six new directors to its two boards of directors for a three-year term beginning in 2026. The museum has two boards: The MOST Board of Trustees, which is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations, and the Foundation Board of Directors, which raises funds for the museum’s operating budget.

Trailblazing students graduate from new pre-apprenticeship program

The inaugural class of Real Life Rosies graduated from their pre-apprenticeship program on Tuesday. Fourteen people completed the six-week, 72-hour training program, which includes hands-on and classroom training, supportive services, and interviews with local advanced manufacturing companies.
