MFG Month is a national effort led by the Manufacturing Institute encouraging companies to open their doors to students, parents, educators, and community leaders. It is an opportunity for manufacturers to open their doors to provide tours of their facilities to educators and students. Employers can showcase their innovative technology, demonstrate how local products are made, and inspire the next generation to pursue careers in manufacturing.
This year, our team at MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, will be celebrating on Thursday, October 5th and Friday, October 6th with tours of companies across Central New York. This is an opportunity to engage high school students and ignite their interest in local manufacturing careers. We hope you will consider participating as a host location and open your doors to the workforce of tomorrow!
Manufacturing is all around us, especially here in Central New York. Manufacturing is not about the old dirty factories of the past. During Manufacturing Month, companies open their doors to you and your students to spark an interest in modern-day, high-tech manufacturing careers and to learn about the great products you didn’t know were made locally.
