Rosie the Riveter might be an American icon, but Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC), the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY), and Working Solutions are turning out “Real Life Rosies” as they work together to encourage more women to pursue careers in advanced manufacturing.

More than 800 workers will get the training they need for careers at Micron and other advanced manufacturers thanks to a six-million-dollar federal grant.

The 2024 Workforce Development Awards recognized the accomplishments of students and registered apprentices pursuing an education or careers in manufacturing and other industries.
