MACNY President & CEO Randy Wolken will be a featured speaker at the Jobs for the Future (JFF) Horizons virtual conference on Tuesday, June 9, at 3:00 pm.

Wolken will participate in the session Responding to Crisis and Preparing for the Future: Regional Manufacturing Perspectives. In this session, Wolken will join other panelists to provide regional perspectives on how COVID-19 has impacted their industry and how manufacturers have responded to the crisis in areas of safety, workforce, and resiliency.

Shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, MACNY and other visionary leaders within the region formed a consortium called, “Keeping People Safe and Factories Running.” As part of this innovative program, participating companies have pledged to use collective skills and knowledge, as well as best practices from noted authorities, to help manufacturers keep employees safe and factories running during COVID-19.  Indium Corporation President Ross Berntson played an instrumental role in designing the consortium and also will serve as a featured speaker in the Horizons 2020 session, lending his unique perspective to workplace safety. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Horizons 2020 made the decision to hold this year’s event virtually.  Therefore, it will be a free virtual event from June 8-11 that is open to all. For more information on the Horizons 2020 virtual conference, please go to  https://www.jff.org/events/horizons/
