Our Exciting Future
Randy Wolken, President & CEO

Yesterday, we celebrated MACNY’s 111th Annual Celebration of Manufacturing. MACNY has been serving manufacturers for well over a century. Our team could not be more proud of what we have accomplished together – and at the same time, we are very much looking forward to what is still ahead.

The past year has been one of incredible growth and achievement for MACNY, thanks to you, our consistently engaged members. Our advocacy engagement efforts remain strong as we continue to be New York State’s most influential voice for manufacturing on the State and Federal levels. Our popular training and development offerings have seen a boost in variety, participation, and delivery methods. This fiscal year, we served thousands of individuals and hundreds of companies through over 200 educational and networking events. We had one of our best years ever. Also, our Manufacturers Intermediary Apprenticeship Program (MIAP) continues to be successful with our state-wide Alliance partners and continues to be recognized nationally. This program now has over 1,000 registered apprenticeships throughout New York State. Partners for Education & Business, Inc. (PEB) also served thousands of future manufacturing and technology students to make them aware of the exciting jobs waiting for them in our member companies. These are just a few of our achievements in the past year.

At last night’s event, we were excited to honor this year’s Manufacturers Wall of Fame inductee, Carl Byrne of Byrne Dairy. Our Wall of Fame award is for lifetime achievement in the areas of company success and community stewardship. We also honored our 2024 Innovator of the Year Award recipient, Tyler Robillard of Feldmeier Equipment. This award recognizes the innovative individuals who are integral to local manufacturing companies’ successes.

During this event, I also outlined the exciting future of manufacturing in our community and state. It has been over a century since we have been poised for such massive investment and growth in the manufacturing sector. We are positioned for a new renaissance of high-tech manufacturing that will grow significantly over the next two decades. MACNY is preparing to support efforts to realize this critical development.

For the coming year, we have many new initiatives planned. Our team will continue to expand our services, help you fill open positions, enhance our training and apprenticeship offerings, and advocate for wise public policy that enables you to grow. We couldn’t be more excited to build upon our successes while working with you to create the future!
