We are pleased to welcome Samantha Wessing to the MACNY team as a Workforce Development Specialist. In this role, Samantha will support MACNY’s New York State Manufacturers Intermediary Apprenticeship Program (NYSMIAP). She will play an integral role in maintaining relationships with new and existing companies participating in NYSMIAP, while also coordinating related instruction and on-the-job training for apprentices. Samantha will also be actively engaged in workforce development initiatives supporting the expansion of the current apprenticeship program, as well as new initiatives that support advancing opportunities for women in manufacturing.

Prior to joining MACNY, Samantha spent over 5 years at Cazenovia College where she progressed from Assistant Director of Admissions to Senior Assistant Director of Admissions. She also has a background in broadcasting and meteorology in the Utica, NY area. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcasting and Mass Media, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology—both from State University of New York at Oswego.
