2024 promises challenge, change, and growth. Our national economy is gaining strength and should continue to grow. New technology and manufacturing investments are expected in Upstate New York, specifically in Central New York. As leaders, we must find ways to navigate through it. We can look forward to 2024 with anticipation.
One significant investment will be Micron, which will break ground this coming year on its first planned Fab, which includes its production facility and related investment. Once completed, the Micron Fab will be an investment of around $20 billion and employ thousands of workers. Related industry partners in the semiconductor space will also invest millions of dollars and hire thousands of staff. We also know manufacturers such as TTM Technologies and Lotte plan to invest millions and hire hundreds of workers soon. This is just the tip of the iceberg concerning manufacturing investments and new hires in 2024 and beyond.
As we look ahead, we are building a better future together. At MACNY, we continue transforming our service offerings to serve you better. We will continue this in 2024 and beyond as we offer high-quality virtual, hybrid, and in-person events and services.
Virtual and hybrid options for our events are now a standard approach. This gives thousands of our members the chance to attend our events that were once only offered in-person to members within our geographical footprint. Now, we can reach all of our members through the use of technology investments. Annually, we serve over three thousand individuals through nearly two hundred events and training opportunities.
Growing MACNY and helping MACNY members grow will again be top priorities in 2024. We will announce renewed and additional service offerings in the coming months to help you develop and thrive in 2024 and beyond. Please let us know how we can help you succeed in the new year.
Finally, thank you for all you have done for MACNY and our community throughout 2023. You’ve worked hard over the past year to maintain your business and contribute to our community. This will help the community build upon your efforts during 2024.
