ITC P-TECH sophomores worked with their career coaches in January as they battled to create a roller coaster with at least 1 loop while travelling as slowly as possible without stopping. This project provided the students with the opportunity to utilize the following skills:

  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Problem-solving
  • Cycle of building, testing, observing and revision
  • Basic understanding of Potential and Kinetic energy, Momentum, and Centripetal Force

There were two first place winning teams that achieved their goal with a travel time of 7.5 seconds!
