MACNY Is Growing – And Helping Your Growth
Randy Wolken, President & CEO

We are pleased to welcome Kyle Pipes to the team as the Chief Growth & Development Officer on July 1st. Kyle comes to MACNY with experience in helping develop organizational culture. He is exceptionally skilled at assisting organizations by assessing and developing relational habits, leadership, healthy systems, and organizational practices. Before building his coaching and consultancy business, Pipes gained relevant experience developing energy projects with hospitals, universities, and major corporations. Pipes comes to MACNY having already worked with a portfolio of current member companies and is eager to expand his reach and impact.

Kyle’s expertise will continue to round out MACNY’s executive-level leadership offerings, emphasizing building and maintaining healthy workplace cultures. We are particularly excited to bring him on to the team to expand our workplace development offerings. Kyle brings a unique perspective that will assist our membership in gaining a competitive advantage and operating more effectively. The first training Pipes will facilitate in his new role is ‘Listening So Others Feel Heard’, which will take place on July 26th and August 2nd from 9 – 11 AM. This training is designed to reinforce the value of listening, teach four practical habits to improve as a listener, and give insight into creating and structuring teams, meetings, and environments for deeper listening. At the end of this month, we close our fiscal year. Thanks to you, our consistently engaged members, this past year has been one of incredible growth and achievement for MACNY. This occurred despite the challenges that emerged from the pandemic. Our advocacy engagement efforts remain strong as we continue to be New York State’s most influential voice for manufacturing at the local, state, and federal levels. Our popular training and service offerings have seen a boost in variety, participation, and delivery methods. In fact, we had one of our best years ever. Also, our Manufacturers Intermediary Apprenticeship Program (MIAP) continues to be successful with our state-wide Alliance Partners and has been recognized nationally. Continued growth in providing career awareness through Partners for Education & Business, Inc. (PEB) has never been more robust. We have added programming for a dozen new schools as we prepare for the new school year starting in the fall. These are just a few of our achievements in the past year.

We could not have been successful without your active participation and investment. MACNY celebrated 110 years of service this year. Manufacturing investment in our community is growing rapidly. Together, we can create a bright future for our region and New York State. However, it will not be easy. Challenges remain, and we stay focused on helping you thrive in the coming year. As always, we are looking for you to inform and guide us in our next century of service. Feel free to contact any of our talented team or me directly at [email protected]. And do enjoy the summer ahead!
