Monday, March 29, 2010
NEW YORK, NY, MARCH 30, 2010 … MACNY – The Manufacturers Association is pleased to announce in partnership with Direct Energy Business an agreement designating Direct Energy as a preferred energy supplier for its members.
MACNY is the largest association of manufacturers in the State of New York and one of the oldest manufacturers’ associations in the nation. Since 1913, MACNY has helped manufacturers lower costs, improve profitability and compete with manufacturers throughout the world.
“We understand that, for our members, energy procurement can be a huge spend. The ability to manage that spend, and have the most cost-efficient methods of procurement available to them, is one way that we are helping MACNY members continue to succeed in the global market,” says John Lawyer, MACNY Vice President, Energy and Technology Services.
Direct Energy Business, the third largest commercial and industrial energy retailer in North America, is used to helping New York companies do what they can to protect themselves from the volatility of the energy market.
“Stabilizing prices and technology are allowing us to make an impact on a company’s bottom line,” says Jeff Levin, Senior Director — North American Sales. “MACNY knows that the best way to ensure getting the best price on energy is to work with a retail energy supplier such as Direct Energy Business to maximize these benefits for its collective membership.”
